Q: Are you accepting new patients?
________________________________________
A: We welcome children and adults to become members of our dental practice.  Referrals from our patients are always appreciated.  If we are ever unable to accommodate a new or prospective patient's dental needs in a timely manner we will assist in finding another dental professional who can.

Q: What are your office hours?________________________________________
A: Our office hours are by appointment. Appointments are generally available Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm. We also provide occasional services with community agencies and organizations in other locations. Therefore, exact days and hours may vary slightly each week.

Q: What types of services do you offer?
________________________________________
A: As a general family and cosmetic dentistry practice, we offer comprehensive services such as preventive, periodontal, restorative, and esthetic services, implant restoration and prosthetic dentures. Extractions and root canals are treated in routine cases.

Q: What types of services don't you offer?
________________________________________
A: At this time, we do not provide orthodontics (braces), complex extractions and oral surgery, complex root canals, and deep sedation services.  Upon a thorough evaluation, we can provide you with a referral of these services to a dental specialist who is best trained in each of these areas.

Q: Do you treat emergencies same day?
________________________________________
A: Yes!
Time is specifically reserved for emergency care each day.  If you are experiencing a toothache, facial swelling or a traumatic injury we will make every effort to relieve your discomfort immediately. If you are unable to contact the dentist, you should contact your nearest emergency room or after hours clinic for immediate treatment.

Q: Do you offer sedation?
________________________________________
A: Dental techniques have advanced dramatically over the years. Dental visits are now much more comfortable than years ago. We use desensitization techniques first, which are often times very successful.
If sedation is required, we may offer a light oral sedative to make your visit more comfortable. If deeper sedation (going to sleep) is requested, referral to a hospital dentist or other specialist is recommended.

Q: What if I need a referral to a specialist?
________________________________________
A: When in the best interests of your dental health, we may recommend certain treatment be rendered by a dental specialist. We will provide you with specialist information and assist in coordinating your appointments if requested.

Q: Do you accept my insurance?
________________________________________
A: If you have dental insurance, you may certainly use your benefits with our practice. We accept assignment of benefits for most plans.  We are considered an "unrestricted" or "out-of-network" provider.
The level of your benefits is determined by a contract negotiated specifically between your employer and insurance company.  As a courtesy to our patients, we will submit pre-estimates and claims on your behalf.
With a pre-estimate completed prior to treatment we request only co-payments at the time of service.

Q: Do you treat children?
________________________________________
A: Yes!
We highly encourage early dental evaluation and prevention.  Our practice is actively involved in the American Dental Association Childrens' Dental Health Month activities.

We are very comfortable seeing and treating most children 3 years and older.
Smaller children 8 years and under (as well as the dental team) are most receptive to dental care earlier in the morning.  We appreciate your cooperation in excusing your child from school when necessary.

For children 3 years and under or any child who may be unable to tolerate restorative dental treatment in a general practice setting we recommend a specially trained pediatric dentist:

Q: Do you accept Medicaid, Child Health Plus or Family Health Plus?
________________________________________
A: We strive to help increase the access to dental care for those in our local community who need it most.  At this time, our focus is on children
3 - 19 years who are currently enrolled in the Potsdam, Parishville and Norwood school districts.

We also recommend the following as possible dental providers for both adults and children within St. Lawrence and Franklin Counties:

Q: Can I make payments?
________________________________________
A:
Payment at the time of service greatly reduces administrative expenses to our small business.   To show our appreciation, we are pleased to return a 3-5% courtesy for full payment on the date of service. Cash, check, debit/ATM, MasterCard and Visa are accepted.

Depending upon the recommended treatment, there can be a substantial investment for the proposed care, and we are prepared to assist you in arranging for a plan that suits your needs.  See our Payment Options for more information.

We offer CareCredit to assist our patients with extended payment plans.  For more information please contact our office or visit the CareCredit website at: www.carecredit.com

Q: How can my full payment at the time of service help?
________________________________________
A:  We have proudly partnered with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in its mission to find a cure for juvenile diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
You can help by opting to allocate any part of your 3-5% courtesy for payment at the time of service to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and we will match your donation to help take a bite out of this devastating disease that affects millions of adults and children.  Many of whom live right here in the North Country.
Our local JDRF walk team Walkin' for Willz  has raised $16,720.00 so far and counting!

Q: What if I must cancel an appointment?
________________________________________
A:
Your dental visit is very important in diagnosing and preventing dental problems and should be cancelled only in extreme cases.
When we reserve appointment time for our patients, we strive to value your time and attempt to be as prompt as possible. In the event that an appointment must be cancelled, we appreciate the same courtesy with as much notice as possible (ideally 48 hours or more) so that we may offer the time to another patient in need.
